Weeknd in VA

Last weekend, Shauna and I flew down to D.C. and then drove with our friends, Mike and Aaron down to Lynchburg for Mary's wedding ( that's a lot of names!) It was great to see old friends! I stayed with my two dear friends, Whitney and Lindsay, and it just happened to work out that Whit's bridal shower was the same weekend. It was a quick trip, but lots of fun.

Albert, Aaron, Zach, and Kevin. They provided great entertainment for us at the table. Unfortunately the dance floor was empty most of the afternoon, so they livened things up.

Thanks Dad!

My Dad has been hard at work at 9 Amber Lane (our future address!) We stopped by the lot to bring him some lunch... a small token of our appreciation for all he is doing!

The foundation is complete, and the house will be framed next week. Things are moving along (more pics to come).

Irony

I splurged this year for the safety of my wife and little bun in the oven, and I bought snow tires for Becky's car. Well, we had a mild winter and barely got use out of the tires. Last week the weather was perfect with temperatures, at times, in the low 70's. So Saturday I went and had her snow tires taken off. We wake up this morning, look out the window, and see white stuff falling from the sky...oh the irony!

Heritage March Madness '06

Last Saturday was our 2nd Annual March Madness Basketball Tournament. We hold the tournament each year at a public school in the Wachusett region. Our primary purpose for the tournament is to get the Gospel Message out to people who would never step inside a church. There are 5 brackets: Middle School Guys/Middle School Girls/High School Guys/High School Girls/& Adult Co-Ed. Each member from the five 1st place 3-man teams won a $40 gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods. Each member from the five second place teams won a $20 gift card to Dick's. Our good friend Andy (from our Youth Leadership Team) who has played college ball and pro ball over seas shared his story in the opening ceremony. We had 40 people say that they made the decision to follow Christ. We will find which decisions were genuine as we seek to contact all of these people. When you read this please drop a quick prayer for us...we now have the big task of following-up and providing discipleship for these new believers.
