Guatemala

I spent last week in Guatemala with a team from Heritage. We saw God do great things in the lives of the children, teenagers, and Pastors that we served. I led the children's minstry/evangelism team. Our team introduced the concept of weekly children's ministry to church leaders of ten different churches. In doing this we were also able to present the Gospel message to 1,275 children. At least half of these children professed to give their lives to Jesus. Our prayer now is that these churches would follow through in discipleship. We also had the privelege of ministering to about ten local pastors and answer many of their questions in a pastors conference. The guys desperately need and want training/resources. I look forward to going back soon and giving these guys further training. One special occassion was leading a youth conference for around 200 Guatemalan teenagers. The topic was holiness/sexual purity...a big challenge considering our little knowledge of their culture. It was clear however that they needed to hear God's plan for marriage and faithfulness. This was a powerful conference. Thanks for your prayers over the trip. I'm glad to be home to Bec & Isaiah.
